Pattaya Dental Implants
Central Pattaya Dental Center provides comprehensive Dental implant treatment, from single-tooth implant to implant-supported bridge or implant-supported denture. We aim to provide the closest to natural solution in replacing missing tooth.
We offer 2 types of implant procedure; conventional or immediate implant procedure.
Conventional implant
The conventional implant procedure normally takes 2–phase treatment with at least 3-6 months apart. During the 1st phase, the implant post is installed and temporary prosthetics is placed. If there is insufficient bone available to install the implant post successfully, but the loss has not gone beyond a certain point, new bone can be regenerated in the intended implant site using a technique called Bone Augmentation. This requires using either irradiated powdered human bone or an artificial substitute. The often question for this case is “Will the patient go with missing teeth for 3-6 months?” the answer is NO. A temporary tooth or bridge allows the patient to have esthetics and function immediately. The patient can walk out of the dental office and enjoy socializing and a pleasant meal that very same day. Another solution is to have a patient who is wearing dentures continue to wear their dentures until the implants are fully functional. Phase 1 may take 10 to 14 days to complete. 2nd phase of the procedure follows after 4 to 6 months to install permanent crown, bridge or denture. The gap between 1st phase and 2nd phase will allow the implant post to integrate into the bone to ensure high success rate of the implant procedure. 2nd phase requires at least 5-7 days.
Immediate implant or All-on-4 or All-on-5
With the advances in technology, immediate implants are now made possible. This procedure is very common these days because of practical reasons. The process from implant post installation to fixing in crowns or crown-bridge is done in just one trip with at least 7-day-stay, however not everyone is a good candidate for this procedure.
Age Limit
Dental implants can be done to patients as early as 16 years old for women and 18 years old for men, but there is no upper age limit, provided that a patient has enough bone available to support the implant post, and the patient does not have any medical or psychological conditions.
